Workspace keeps your images as safe as possible by never displaying the high-res image, and by disabling the browser’s right-click download function. You can also add watermarks to your images. Simply upload your watermark to Workspace, and apply it to a collection of images. Workspace does the work for you, applying the watermark you've selected to each image – so you don't have to do each one by hand! You also have different watermark placement options, from which you can select the most appropriate option for you. Watch our tutorial below on how to use our watermarking feature: To View More >>

A beautiful memento of four very loved huskies! Laurel and Kevin from Brisbane, Australia are totally devoted to their dogs and regularly participate in sledding. Just a couple of weeks after this photo session in the Glass House Mountains, their beloved brown eyed girl Kiah passed away. Charlotte, from Charlotte Reeves Photography, specialises in pet photography. She says, "I am so glad they have this beautiful album of their special girl and the bond she had with her doggy brother and sisters.” A lovely translucent page at the beginning of their 12x12 Flushmount album. Escaping the UK’s October gloom is exactly what Sarah and Nigel did for their wedding day. They wed in Bordeaux, France at the Chateau Rigaud - a perfect venue for this stylish French wedding! Their photographer Ellie, (from Ellie Gillard Photography) is based in London, UK. Their album starts off with a Translucent title page. I have dress envy! Sarah’s Jenny Packham dress is so beautiful. “...I witnessed two people say their vows, under the dappled shade of an old tree in the courtyard as tree frogs chirped, planes high up streaked cloud To View More >>

It used to be that people would ask me if I used film or digital, generally because they'd heard a horror story. I would show them an album and ask them firstly if they liked the quality of the images, and then what they thought it was shot with. Most guessed wrong and said "film". Back then my using digital could have undermined my perceived value. But what if your choice of suppliers added perceived value to your service? What if you had brides asking about your suppliers? If a client sought you out because you used Queensberry would you be offended? If you don’t tell your clients why your To View More >>

There's been a LOT of interest generated by the new Workspace mobile app, so I thought I'd remind you how easy Workspace sharing is. Next time I'll suggest the best place to share. Let's assume you've uploaded some images and now you're in Workspace looking at the image collection you want to share... (Click the screenshots to view them full-size)... 1. Click the big blue SHARE button to open the sharing pop-up window. You should explore the other options but the window opens to "auto" (my favourite - see below) where you can set up automatic sharing to Facebook profiles and pages, Twitter and/or To View More >>

Pete started off his recent posts by saying that colour management is one of the cornerstones of digital photography, but often misunderstood. Let me describe what you can reasonably expect from a sound colour management system consistently applied (certainly not miracles!). What you can expect 1. A reasonable indication of what your final print will look like (assuming you're sending the files print-ready). 2. To avoid gross errors (an Adobe 1998 file treated as if it's sRGB will look strikingly different, especially if colours go out of gamut). 3. Predictability: You can send your files to the To View More >>

No-one likes piracy, so how can you stop people stealing your digital images? There is only one sure method: Store your data on a computer in a secure office - and don't connect it to the internet. I'm not kidding. I was speaking to a commercial lawyer friend who deals with multi-million dollar litigation, and if his stuff is super-confidential, that's exactly what he does. Recently we had an irate client complain that some of her images had been pirated from Workspace, and ask how we could let that happen. She explained how it was done (I'm not going to tell you) and she was quite right. Within To View More >>
