Personally, I've had nothing to do with school photographers since I lined up for my own class photos, but I do pay attention to what Queensberry's clients do, and they're an important subset of our customer base. I think there's a lot to learn from them because they're serious about business and big on "systems". They need to be, given that a school gig might involve dozens of classes, each with thirty-odd kids, most of them with parents — potential customers — whom they've never met. Imagine if the way it worked was that they all emailed, To View More >>

Hello to our USA friends! A quick update to confirm that we intend to absorb the additional cost of the tariffs, to support our valued clients. We’re grateful for your business, and we want the relationship to continue long into the future!  I hesitated to provide an update earlier because the situation is still changing. In fact a 90-day pause on “reciprocal” tariffs has just been announced on all countries except China. However the situation as it affects us has not changed since the original announcement. We have never taken sides in political matters. As small business To View More >>

This is an updated post about trading arrangements into the UK and Europe, including drop-shipping, now that the Brexit deal is in place.  UK customers We don't expect any change in our arrangements with you. Your orders will continue to be shipped via DHL and you'll continue to be invoiced by our UK company. Shipments may take longer to clear in the short term, simply because HMRC and the UK border authorities will be much busier handling shipments to and from the EU, which until now have not needed to clear customs. Drop-shipping: We can deliver your wholesale orders direct to your clients To View More >>

We're delighted to announce that we're introducing Stripe as an alternative Workspace payment platform, alongside PayPal. Introducing Stripe means you can now activate a standard credit card form at checkout, and also get your payouts faster. However the two platforms interact with Workspace quite differently, and it's important to understand how… Stripe and PayPal are: — How you pay for your wholesale purchases from Queensberry. — How your clients pay for purchases in your retail shopping cart. — How Workspace pays you the profits To View More >>

In many markets Covid is likely to limit the size of weddings —  and therefore wedding photography — for some months yet. And with all the restrictions and uncertainty many weddings are likely to be postponed until next season. But there's an upside! Any 2020 weddings delayed until 2021 and 2022 could make those years busier than normal! Which will be a great "problem" to have, as long as you can cope with the extra work. What that means…  • This year albums will be very important as a way to maximise revenue and profit from wedding clients — both current To View More >>

Updated December 13. We think four words describe Studio Albums — simple, affordable, contemporary, speedy! They've generated a lot of excitement, and had us thinking hard, s o here’s what we mean by Studio Albums, and where we’re going with the range. Watch out for introductory offers, coming soon. If you build your business on In-Person Sales, you have a huge advantage over competitors who can't — or won't — do the same. Online is great to get your name out there, great to sell prints to friends and family, fantastic for high volume, low price print sales … but, for high-end sales, getting face-to-face with your clients, in your studio, is best. In future posts, we'll talk more about sales strategies. This post is just about the benefits of buying Studio Boxes in bulk, by which we mean carrying your own stock of mats and boxes in To View More >>
