Congratulations to the winners of the 2018 International Wedding Photographer of the Year awards. The competition was a great success with more than double the entries of 2017, and over sixty countries represented. The overall winner was Australian Dan O’Day, but of course closest to our hearts was the album category, sponsored by Queensberry, which was taken out by a beautiful entry from Latvian photographer Linda Lauva. It tells the story of a small and very charming DIY wedding on the bride and groom's land, by the river, deep in the Latvian countryside. You can see To View More >>

What’s the most important part of an album? Your photography and how it’s presented!  That’s why for a while now our primary focus has been on pages … more page types … more and better printing options … album design and proofing tools. But right now we're focused on covers! — giving you and your clients more cover materials to choose from, and even more ways to customise. Last week we announced 22 new cover materials … but that’s only half the story! Now you can take your albums to the next level with our compelling new range To View More >>

From the Emerald Isle. Our 'Album of the Week' is a beautiful 15x12 Duo Overlay. We love the modern vintage feel of the wedding, and the beautiful emerald green colours look perfect in the matted album. Ivan and Shirley from Alexander & Eve in Northern Ireland, shared a few moments from the day with us. "Ciara and Jason’s wedding at the Galgorm Resort and Spa in Northern Ireland was an Irish/Australian love match. We'd first met the couple the year before and knew then that their wedding was going to be a glamorous, winter fairy tale. "The wedding To View More >>

The winners of the inaugural International Wedding Photographer of the Year Awards have been announced, and the event has been a real success. The six judges from around the world must have had a tough job, with almost a thousand entries from 49 countries, and some beautiful work submitted.  Queensberry was proud to be  principal  sponsor of the album design category, which was won by  Francesco Gravina   (Italy)  with a truly spectacular submission. You can see his complete winning design here. "A day of laughs, speeches, amazing food and a crazy dance floor"- Katherine Ashdown. Jess and Mark's wedding was a relaxed, fun-filled day, at an amazing venue to top it off. They wed at the exclusive Cliff Barns, which only does a few weddings each year. UK photographer Katherine Ashdown made the magic happen and designed this beautiful 14x10 Classic Flushmount album for them. The Buckram Gold cover is gorgeous! A personal title page is the perfect start to any album. Flushmount albums allow the option of full bleed images - adding the perfect balance to any album. If To View More >>

I originally posted this on a private Facebook forum, where it got a lot of discussion — so what do you think? I've been watching people asking for feedback on their price lists — asking if their pricing should be online, asking if everything should be shown upfront, and these discussions make me think about the real problem with price lists. The way I see it is, most price lists make it sound like photographers sell USBs full of images, or pieces of paper — even boxes full of pieces of paper — and the problem with that is that To View More >>

I run the Queensberry Bindery - never say "factory"! It’s a great privilege, and we do enjoy watching visitors gasp and smile at how much handwork and care goes into making a Queensberry. So this week, as we release our new packaging, I thought I'd show you how even our presentation box is a handmade product! We love handmade, and we love the companies that practice it, so we felt right at home with Glenn and the team at Artrite. They do a lot of fine art screen printing for New Zealand artists like Dick Frizzell, Stanley Palmer, Michael Smithers and the late Don Binney. You can see some To View More >>

Tonight we went out for dinner to celebrate our daughter Alexandria being accepted into University, and Charlotte's recent awards - a lovely night with our beautiful girls. I was just dozing off to sleep, when I felt Alex get into bed beside me. "What's up Al?" "I'm just going to lie here with you for a bit, I can't sleep." "It's okay, you can stay." I put my hand on her forehead, and she was asleep within minutes. Just like when she was little :-) What she doesn't know is that when I said she could stay, I meant she could stay forever if she wanted. I know she won't. I know she's excited To View More >>
