We’ve introduced a new way for your clients to order a Q-Box. As a photographer you can order wholesale, provided you have an approved account. These notes are to help you sell Q-Boxes in your own shopping cart, at your own prices. Step 1 - Favourite the images: In your client's gallery, they can click the Workspace Heart to select the images they wish to include in their Q-Box. (For more on how to favourite images, click here.) And not to worry, they can add / remove / edit images later, in the shopping cart, if they change their minds. Step 2 - Go to Favourites: To View More >>

Spot the difference? Yes, one photo's new, one's old. One's in colour, but they're both gold. Rivers of gold! Sure, the new gold is data, but like the old gold it's hard to mine. They reckon perhaps 3,500,000,000,000 photos have been taken in human history, and maybe 3,500,000,000 of those in the last twelve months. Even the people who took them know that most of them are crap! Digging for gold in that lot is like panning for gold in that river. Tough work and hardly anyone's going to do it. Want to do your photos a favour? Pick the best ones (one in ten? a hundred?) and delete the rest. Don't To View More >>

The other day I proposed a way to encourage enquirers to look past your prices and make personal contact. It was partly a way to start identifying people who should be your clients, and withdrawing (politely) from those who probably shouldn't. You need to demonstrate to the first group why you’re the right photographer to spend their wedding day with! The 3% rule The 3% rule is our way of saying that you can't succeed by trying to appeal to everyone, and you definitely shouldn't try. It stems from the time, years ago, when we tried to estimate the number of professional photographers in the To View More >>

Hello Dears We haven't spoken for an age, but the latest Photojunction release is dear to my heart, so I thought I'd put down my knitting and tell you about it. The PJ boys are very conscious that the Problem Reporter can be frustrating, so they've added a check box which, if you want to, lets you "hide" PJ's warnings (marked with yellow triangles*) so they don't show up again. Now I wouldn't ignore automatically the problem reporter, but it can be a bit bossy sometimes, so this does feel very grown up, don't you think? A bit like the first time you realised people weren't asking you for ID any To View More >>

New Zealand photographer Bianca Duimel set up this sample portrait album to feature some of her best work... She took these photos of expecting parents Tony and Sharon just one week before their little baby boy was born. Bianca say this golden haired angel took her breath away. Three-year-old Holly obviously isn't scared of bees! And Pippa was let loose to run around outside in the sun while Bianca got these shots. Thanks for sharing, Bianca :) To view a slideshow of Bianca's sample album click here. Cheers, Nigel To View More >>

Phyllis & James were married on December the 10th, 2011 at a beautiful outdoor ceremony on the Lone Pine Lawn of the historic Vaucluse House in Sydney. The couple chose Trish Lee of Tealily Photography to capture their day. Phyllis wore Louboutin heels and a J'aton couture gown. Just gorgeous! And their reception was at Fort Denison. They chose a Duo 14x10H album, with a cover in Onyx Micro Leather. Here are a few layouts from their album. To see more work by Tealily Photography, click here. Enjoy! Anna To View More >>

Christophe Flers has just started a new project www.photos-en-amoureux.com which offers photography to couples who are simply in love - whether they are engaged, married, or just want to create memories of their love and relationship together. What a beautiful idea, and Christophe has created a sample album with images of newly engaged couple Cécile & Philippe. Below are a few layouts of the Matted 12x12 album. Here's to celebrating love! If you'd like to see more of Christophe's work, click here. Enjoy. Anna To View More >>
We've just removed the password protection from the knowledge base on our Partner website, making most of it accessible to anyone. Most of it's just detailed product and service information that our clients might want to check out from time to time - so it's not like Wikileaks would be interested! - but some of it's a bit sensitive, which is why it's been restricted. Some of you've been saying it's frustrating having to log in, however, which is why we've put most of the content out in the open. The only exception is the Marketing and Business section which is still locked down. That's where all To View More >>
