SEARCH RESULTS FOR: Wedding Photography Market

We get it — in the age of social media, digital files feel like the norm. Especially in the wedding world, they’re generally expected. Couples want to share their big day right away, and portrait clients love the idea of having “all the photos.” But if we stop there, we’re not just shortchanging ourselves — we’re shortchanging them. Here’s why: Digital is fleeting. Print is forever. Digital images are shared for a moment and then forgotten, buried in a sea of phone photos and cloud storage. Prints become treasures. Albums become stories passed on. To View More >>

Panic attacks — we all have them “My bookings are down.” “I’ve gotta cut my prices.” “I’ve gotta slash my costs.” We all have anxiety attacks, so maybe this chapter’s for you. Anxiety is worrying in advance, worrying without a plan, psychological rather than rational. Don’t offer just one service, offer choices. Don’t assume the deal that encourages people to get in touch with you is the one they’ll commit to later (once you’ve open their eyes to how good you are, and what you can do for them). And don’t assume that they won’t go even further once they’ve fallen in love with their own photographs. That’s the To View More >>

A strong online presence is essential for professional photographers looking to grow their businesses, and one of the most effective ways to do that is through blogging. “Blogging” might sound a bit old-fashioned these days, but really it just means any website or page that you update regularly. It could be about your clients, your images — or interesting stories about either of those. Regularly updating your website will not only showcase your photography skills but also boost your website's search engine rankings. To drive people to your site, earn customers and make sales. We often make the mistake of making our marketing about ourselves — what we're doing, and what we need, rather than the value we're creating for our audience. People who write code love what they do, but their customers don't. They just want an app that works. You love photography but your clients love the memories you make for them. Memories or a picture for the wall. When you're thinking about business or marketing campaigns, focus on your customers. What's in it for them? To View More >>

Recently we worked with Ebonnie Louise Photography  to set up her website, and we had so much fun we thought we’d share it with you. We worked with her under our Turbostart service, which helps photographers with their Workspace websites.  Ebonnie had worked with Olivia Lord Design to create her brand identity, so she came to us with a strong brand, and brand message, which was great, for two reasons.
