At Izo Photography, outsourcing frees up time to do the things they love. Photography is a form of self expression, and that's why Jimmy from Izo Photography fell in love with it. After picking up his partner Shona's old DSLR camera, and discovering it was for him, he began to pursue a career in professional photography, which he absolutely loves. After "practice, practice and more practice", Jimmy's advice to photographers is to outsource work from as early on as possible. When Izo first started out they did everything themselves, but they soon To View More >>

So you're tempted by our special offer, and you've decided to add Q-Frames, Q-Boxes and Q-Books to your Workspace shopping cart. Maybe it's your first time selling online! How much should you charge? Finding the sweet spot between too cheap and too expensive can be tricky. Ask yourself: 1. What costs must the price cover? For example will you need to edit or artwork the images? If so was the work included in the price of the shoot or do you need to charge for it now? 2. What's the market price? How much would people in your market expect to pay for products like these from a photographer like To View More >>

You may have read AlbumExposure's announcement that Photojunction integration with their service is about to end. Sorry to say, that day has come, with the new PJ version just released, which you can download here. We've enjoyed working with the guys at AE, and we surely wish them well, but in the end the cost of integrating and supporting AE, for pretty much no return, is unsustainable. But every Photojunction user has a great alternative, so read on for an offer to get you started... ALBUM PROOFING IN WORKSPACE Album proofing is already Workspace's most popular feature, and no wonder. 1. All To View More >>

Just a few weeks ago, I received something that was a long time coming. My very own Queensberry Album! Now you can imagine why it took me just over a year to actually get it designed and ordered - I'm a Queensberry designer - which is another way of saying that I'm a perfectionist. And when it came to my own album... it had to be doubly perfect! During the design process, I naively tried to involve Kurt with the decisions about which images to use and what size album to go for. This resulted in a few 'I don't know, just do what you want' type grunts, that weren't particularly helpful. However, To View More >>

We initially came across these two albums by UK photographer Binky Nixon via a comment one of her brides left on our Facebook page... Bride and groom Wani and Ayo had a strong red colour theme through their wedding so decided to go for classic cherry leather for their cover.... And Gemma and Matt went for an old favorite Contemporary leather in the Earth shade. Click here to see more of Binky's work on her blog. Cheers, Nigel To View More >>

Congratulations go to Jonathan Robert Photographe, winner of the Queensberry Workspace 'Free Albums for a Year' draw! Jonathan is a French Canadian Photographer based in Québec. Heather caught up with him this morning and he was delighted. Jonathan mentioned that this prize has come at a very good time for his studio. Listen to what he had to say here: http://vimeo.com/41461662 Thanks to everyone who entered the draw and signed up for a Workspace subscription. We really appreciate your support and feedback. Ideally I like to see the Problem Reporter empty every time I finish a design, but it isn't always, and you're probably the same. By default, any errors you can't ignore are listed first in the Reporter - the ones with the little red and white "X" against them. We can't make your album until they're corrected, so PJ won't let you send your order until they are. The items with the little yellow warning triangle you can ignore if you like. They're sorted into spacing issues, then sizing issues, and lastly alignment issues. Obviously, you want to take care of your red issues first. Complete your album To View More >>
(Warning: contains references to blue-grass and rock music) Johannes introduced me to his friends, Lyttelton band The Eastern. That’s OK, nobody else has heard of them either, and that's the point of this post. A while ago The Eastern opened in Auckland for Steve Earle, and more recently for Old Crow Medicine Show. Old Crow who? Heather and I bought tickets anyway, probably the only people in the audience who didn’t know anything about the main act. But then they came out and played. I was hooked after the first few bars Ketch looked wry, ironic and after your girlfriend. Willie wore a Neil To View More >>
