Sharing_success Last post I explained how easy it is to "auto-share" your images on your own pages with Workspace, but the most powerful place to share them is on your clients' pages. The good news is it's ridiculously easy. The bad news is you need good manners and permission to pull it off - so probably easier for you than me?! The best place to share … with permission [caption id="attachment_17506" align="alignleft" width="500"]Sharing_link Click to view full size.[/caption] Let's assume you've uploaded a collection of images, clicked the blue SHARE button and auto-shared to your own Facebook and Twitter pages, as in the screen shot. I've high-lighted a little gold nugget, the bit.ly link. It appears twice on the auto-share window, and here's what I'd do with it: 1. Ask to 'friend' your clients on Facebook. (Do this ahead of time so you can post on their timeline.) 2. Make sure they get to see the images first (especially for something like a wedding). Change anything they're not comfortable with. 3. WITH PERMISSION, copy and paste the link onto their Facebook page, something like this: "Hey guys, here are the photos I promised. Enjoy! http://bit.ly/blahblah". More and more people are ready to share online, and I'd set the expectation early on. Not everyone will be prepared to go along, but that's OK, most will. Even if your clients are reluctant the bit.ly link is still gold. Encourage them to share it themselves by copying and pasting it into skype, or a text message, or an email, or any other place you communicate with them. But don't just wait and hope, because with forethought and permission you can probably do it yourself more often than not. Your customers, their friends and family can view your link on every screen they own, they can share it like anything else on Facebook (or whatever) and everyone that sees it can click through to your website. Including future clients who come across it. Now that's pretty cool, I reckon. Cheers, Ian
