Selling printed products doesn’t have to feel awkward or pushy. When you believe in the value of what you’re offering, that confidence naturally transfers to your clients. The key is to make products an expected and effortless part of your process — not a last-minute add-on. When you position prints, albums, and frames as a meaningful part of the photography experience, clients will begin to see them as essential, not optional. Here are a few simple ways to make product sales feel natural and genuine: 1. Show, Don’t Just Tell Always have stunning samples on hand. Let clients To View More >>

The presentation boxes our albums come in don’t even bear our name, but to us, and our customers, they're a key part of our identity, and express the quality and classic design we stand for. Like Tiffany’s Blue Boxes … but maybe not quite as famous! Our boxes must be intensely practical too, and work across a huge variety of sizes, colours and cover materials. So when we redesigned them in 2016 we didn't throw out the old ones, we refreshed and upgraded them — with more silkscreen passes, new colours and matching grey To View More >>

We saw this beautiful album by DeRay and Simcoe Photography as it went through the bindery. For a little something different, they photographed the album for us! Take a look at their great photos of the main album and copy, and some words about the big day. "Kathryn and Kirk have been the easiest clients to work with since they booked their wedding with us more than 12 months before the big day. A late September wedding, the weather forecast wasn’t great for the day but they weren’t too worried and went ahead with their 'plan A' with no dramas at all." "Their friends and bridal party To View More >>

There are — how many? — a million professional photographers around the world? All competing for customers who are happily uploading their own pictures to the internet by the billion every day! How do you stand out in that crowd? How do you earn a living? By being a better photographer, yes. By knowing what your clients want before they do, absolutely. And by thinking differently and acting differently. By being a price setter not a price taker. By leading the crowd, not joining it. Unfortunately the world is heading in the opposite direction. Giant labs. Huge hosting sites. Software To View More >>

We designed, printed and bound a number of special edition Q-Books for AIBP (Association of International Boudoir Photographers). The books feature a collection of beautiful photographs that were part of the “2014 Best of AIBP Image Competition”. (We were 'oohing' and 'ahhing' throughout the entire product shoot). AIBP seeks to unite professional boudoir photographers globally, to share in common interests from the beauty, art, technique and business aspects of the industry. AIBP has members on six continents, and believes in recognizing amazing talent, which To View More >>

Nothing beats a soulful beach wedding. They are intimate, natural and the choice of location is usually a place of special  significance. Holly and Noel’s wedding was exactly that. Their wedding day was full of natural beauty, and the Australian landscapes are just divine! The team from Luke Simon Photography caught it all on camera and what a beautiful job they have done. The Queensberry Design team designed this gorgeous 10x10 Flushmount Album. See it in all its glory below... A Translucent title page is the perfect start to any album. Sometimes you get lucky! Andy and Wendy left this remarkable story on our Facebook page. We live in the UK. Last December our house was flooded by a tidal surge and EVERYTHING on the ground floor was ruined.  We had so little notice that all we had time to save was one of our cars, our dog and a handful of personal papers. We were devastated when we realised our wedding album, created by Queensberry in 2002, was among the items lost. It was our pride and joy, and we despaired of ever replacing it. The original photographer had finished doing wedding photography, we didn't have his To View More >>

We caught up with Michael Segal at WPPI in Las Vegas and he said he had the perfect album for us to share on The Queensberry blog. Guns N’ Roses drummer, Matt Sorum and singer/dancer Ace Harper exchanged vows at the Colony Palms Hotel in Palm Springs, California. Beautiful photographs alongside a timeless album design - this 14x10 horizontal Duo is flawless! A Translucent title page adds that extra magic to any Queensberry Album. Ace is stunning in her Monique Lhuillier dress. Duo's are our signature product. Throughout this album, there are a combination of Matted and Flushmount To View More >>

Heather recently returned from a Better By Design US Study Tour bursting at the seams with inspiration and excited to share her journey with the rest of us. Instead of a powerpoint presentation or a sit down discussion of what she learnt, she went about posting her thoughts and snippets of wisdom all over our office walls. (Which we actually think is a lot more fun for us to digest). Above are some of my favorite post-it notes, but to be honest I probably haven't even read them all yet! (There are hundreds). I'm glad Heather had a good trip, and I'm glad she was able to bring some excitement To View More >>
