Queensberry’s 2026 end-of-year order deadlines

Christmas is often when photographs come alive again.

Albums are passed around, framed photographs are unwrapped, and favourite stories are shared as people gather together.

It’s a lovely time to reconnect with clients who have an album underway, or invite previous clients to consider an album, frame or print. They make wonderful gifts, too.

Starting early gives everyone more time to get their orders in, without the pressure of last-minute deadlines.

Planning Ahead for the End of the Year

Everything we produce is made to order, so the dates below are a friendly guide for getting work through production before our summer closure.

They are planning dates rather than hard cut-offs, and we will always work with you to try to meet your needs.

Please allow a little extra time for approvals, payment and busy couriers, particularly for rural, remote and international addresses.

All dates and times below are in New Zealand local time.

Queensberry will close on the afternoon of Monday 21 December 2026 and reopen on Wednesday 6 January 2027.

Books and Albums

Books and Albums Using Queensberry Design Services

It worked well last year, so there is no fixed date for us to receive your Design Services orders.

Sending them early leaves more time for design, editing and approval. From mid-October, you can expect a 3–5-day turnaround from our team, but please also allow time for edits with your clients.

Final design and edits approved by Queensberry: Monday 9 November 2026

Books and Albums Designed Using Workspace or Third-Party Software

Completed orders submitted by: Monday 9 November 2026

Please confirm and pay within 48 hours of receiving your confirmation documents so we can keep your order moving through production.

Boxes and Print Products

Bulk Studio Box and Print Box orders: Saturday 21 November 2026

Frames, canvases and single box orders: Tuesday 1 December 2026

Loose matted prints: Friday 11 December 2026

Loose printing: Orders accepted and printed until 11:00am on Monday 21 December 2026

For bulk loose-print orders, we need a couple of days to process and produce the work, but we aim to maintain our usual same-day turnaround time, or next day if we can’t complete it the same day.

Our printery will keep printing until 11:00am on Monday 21 December.

If you are ordering later than the dates above, please talk with us as soon as possible so we can be clear about what can be achieved.

Consolidated Orders for Schools, Daycares and Teams

For schools, daycares and teams, choose close dates that leave enough time for production and delivery before photographs need to be distributed.

Due to the high volumes we experience in November, we ask larger schools to set their gallery to close 10–12 working days before the school closes for the year.

Individual Express orders will continue after the main consolidated order closes and until our summer closure.

Don’t Forget About Materials

We work hard to forecast demand based on previous ordering trends, but popular fabrics, papers and other materials can run short at this time of year.

Ordering early gives us the best opportunity to meet your first choice of materials.

This is particularly important if you have something specific in mind for an album, box, frame or print order.

If You’re Ordering Later

These dates are here to help you plan — not to make you panic!

Every year, we ship a great deal of work after these dates, and we will always do everything we can to help.

The reason we publish planning dates is because we don’t want to let you or your clients down.

If everyone waited until December, there simply wouldn’t be enough production time for everything that needs to be made.

The sooner we receive an order, the better our chance of securing materials, planning production and getting everything on its way before our closure.

If timing is tight, please talk with us as soon as you can. We’ll do our very best!
