The Queensberry online album designer is a great on the go resource that makes designing albums quick and easy. You can share your design with your clients for proofing, or share a slideshow of the finished design by email or on social media. Several weeks ago, engaged couple Janet and Chip hit the streets of New York and the Museum of Natural History with their photographer Parris Whittingham for a pre-wedding  engagement session. After seeing their proofs of the shoot, the couple decided to commission two 9×9 matted albums as wedding gifts for their parents. On occasion you may need to send us new or edited files for an order, and I posted the other day about how to do this in Workspace. Here's how to do the same in Photojunction. Start at the Photojunction Welcome screen. Select the Uploads tab. Select the original upload for this order, so it's highlighted. Click the "More" button and select "Upload additional images". Photojunction will open up a new window to drag and drop your files into. You will be asked to give a reason for your upload. This is something that trips people up sometimes if for some reason they need to send us new or edited files for a job. The Queensberry team doesn't have access to your Workspace account, so we can't work directly with your Workspace image collections. Instead, when you send us an order the hi res files are automatically downloaded to our local server. For the same reason, if you need to send us new or edited files, simply adding more images to your Workspace Event doesn't give us access to them. This is how to send us the new files. 1. Looking through the design workshop yesterday I discovered a book I made nearly twenty years ago. It reminded me how grateful I am to one of my mentors, the bookbinder Michael O’Brien, a man of enormous talent, insight and good humour, and without a doubt the most eccentric person I’ve ever met. I met Michael in 1994, just before he moved his workshop from Auckland to the South Island. One of the books he was working on was for a European art collector, to mount his Picasso drawings. We regret to say the fibre connection to our print lab has just been cut. As a consequence our FTP upload service has been disrupted and you will not be able to upload orders from Photojunction until it is repaired. Our lab team is also out of email and phone contact. Our Bindery staff are still able to communicate and Workspace is operating normally. We are moving staff between sites so that we can get tech support back up and running within an hour or so. We are working on this urgently and will advise when we know how long the repair will take, but we expect it to be a matter of several hours. To View More >>

When it comes to design we know that where you start may be not where you end up. That is why in Workspace we have a couple of features to help: First, in Workspace's Albums area you can review the design Queensberry's done, share it with your clients, and pass back any comments and edits to us. Second, you may have a change of heart and want to include additional files that weren't uploaded to Workspace in the initial round. So despite your best efforts checking your files, Queensberry discovers a funky image or layout in your album, and we need a replacement. It happens. Here's what to do if we need a new layout (rather than an image). 1. Your album will be locked, so first you need to duplicate it. 2. Now you can open the unlocked duplicate, fix that funky layout and create a new export for the fixed layout. 3. Now go to the UPLOADS Tab and select the original order ('cos you're going to send a replacement file for the original order, not send a new order and upload everything again). 4. I use the Browse Tab of the PJ Welcome screen a lot, but if you're sending orders to Queensberry the Uploads screen is also important, particularly if there happens to be a problem with your order. The screen has lots of information, so when the list of uploads gets busy you can sort (by any column), search, or filter based on status or upload date. The buttons are really important, and they change depending on the status of the upload. UPLOAD or RESUME - If the upload was interrupted or paused you'll see this.
