In case you're wondering after our recent posts —  we don’t think digital files are the enemy! Today’s clients expect them. And we know (because digital downloads are such a popular feature in Workspace)  that for many photographers, they’re a vital part of a thriving, sustainable business — and when embraced with intention, they can enhance, not diminish,  the client experience. They are the first step in a meaningful client relationship. Today’s clients want to share, relive, and carry their memories everywhere. So think of digital To View More >>

“Art is the most intense mode of individualism that the world has known.” –  Oscar Wilde   In this series we shine a light on artists expressing their individuality, documenting what they love, working hard on their craft, and sharing it with the world.   Cole Holyoake is a Wellington based digital illustrator. He's also creatively involved in two tech start-ups and he's "deeply inspired" by influential figures around him.    Cole says his schedule can be chaotic and random — eight hours with a drawing tablet; or a mix of 3D modelling and drawing To View More >>

“Art is the most intense mode of individualism that the world has known.” –  Oscar Wilde   In this series we shine a light on artists expressing their individuality, documenting what they love, working hard on their craft, and sharing it with the world.   We spoke to Jinal Govind, a landscape and wedding photographer who grew up in windy Wellington, and still calls the city his home – all about pursuing a career as a photographer and staying inspired.    Photography is something Jinal has had a passion for, ever since he was a young boy who picked To View More >>

We love it when one of our staff members gets an album made for themselves. We spend most of our time creating handmade products for photographers, but we like to walk the talk when it comes to printing our photos. Maddy works in the Queensberry bindery and she's let us share her Portrait Album with you. Take a look.  "I made my own scrapbook style photo albums when I was younger and printed photos to frame. This is the second Queensberry album I've made.  "I wanted to make a gift for my partner, Simba, to celebrate the adventures we’ve had together so far, including a To View More >>

This week, 'Album of the Week' goes to Shevan J Photography! Check out this beautiful wedding, captured by Shevan's lovely photography. We love the story of how Shehara and Sachin first met too, and the cultural intermix of Buddhist, Hindu and Christian too. "Sachin and I first met  at  my 18th birthday in 2009. He had just moved to Melbourne from Sydney. He didn’t know many people at the time but fortunately had made a few friends in his first week who convinced him to come to my birthday drinks. Somehow, a month later, I was dating the random stranger from To View More >>

We are in love with this wedding and album! The  gorgeous wedding was photographed by Natalija Brunovs from We Are All Stardust, Australia. Check out that beautiful custom embossing, complete with gold foil! Colour co-ordinating your album with your wedding outfits is such a great idea, especially when they're gold and royal blue. The gold foil looks great with our Starry Night Buckram. In fact all of our Buckrams look great embossed. You can request custom embossing and gold or silver foil by emailing us. Please state the album type, size, and cover material you will To View More >>

Our friends in the northern hemisphere may find it hard to imagine the festive season without snow, hot cocoa, and a warm fireplace, but in Auckland, New Zealand, where we're based, Christmas day is more likely to be beach adventures and a barbeque. We spoke to Ant Green  about what makes a New Zealand summer, and our unique festive season, so special. Do you have a favourite or secret go-to spot in NZ? What a tricky question! I love exploring new places. However, there is this one place that is quite out of the way, that you could potentially call secret. My friends probably To View More >>
