We’re thrilled to announce updates to our online galleries to suit both school AND wedding/portrait photography. Are you a full-time wedding and portrait photographer who shoots a few school or day care sessions? Or maybe you’re the opposite? You focus on school sessions but shoot weddings on the side? Either way, until now you couldn’t do both in one Workspace account — and that didn’t suit everyone!  Well, that’s changing. If you have a Pro account, just go to your Workspace Image Galleries, click on New Gallery, and you’ll have three choices To View More >>

There are two types of photographers — those who love the sales process, and the rest of us! Yes, most of us really are shy about sales. We don't want to come across like car salesmen or slick real estate people. But we run businesses, and it's sales that make the business world go round. So here are some ideas to boost your album sales without being pushy or sales-y. To sell but stay true to yourself. To leave your clients feeling they've been listened to while consistently delivering beautiful wedding albums to them.  By the way, these ideas will work with all product sales — To View More >>

In many markets Covid is likely to limit the size of weddings —  and therefore wedding photography — for some months yet. And with all the restrictions and uncertainty many weddings are likely to be postponed until next season. But there's an upside! Any 2020 weddings delayed until 2021 and 2022 could make those years busier than normal! Which will be a great "problem" to have, as long as you can cope with the extra work. What that means…  • This year albums will be very important as a way to maximise revenue and profit from wedding clients — both current To View More >>

From the Emerald Isle. Our 'Album of the Week' is a beautiful 15x12 Duo Overlay. We love the modern vintage feel of the wedding, and the beautiful emerald green colours look perfect in the matted album. Ivan and Shirley from Alexander & Eve in Northern Ireland, shared a few moments from the day with us. "Ciara and Jason’s wedding at the Galgorm Resort and Spa in Northern Ireland was an Irish/Australian love match. We'd first met the couple the year before and knew then that their wedding was going to be a glamorous, winter fairy tale. "The wedding To View More >>

Justine Ungaro is conducting a Master Class at WPPI about the challenges of setting up business in a new market. We're proud to be sponsoring her. We all know that selling albums can make you more $$, but did you know that selling albums will also make you a better photographer? It’s a hard-learned lesson that took me years to figure out, so I will try to save you time by giving it to you straight! When I started out as a wedding photographer, I didn’t sell a whole lot of albums. I was intensely focused on improving my photography skill and developing my creativity. But as the To View More >>

Nothing beats a soulful beach wedding. They are intimate, natural and the choice of location is usually a place of special  significance. Holly and Noel’s wedding was exactly that. Their wedding day was full of natural beauty, and the Australian landscapes are just divine! The team from Luke Simon Photography caught it all on camera and what a beautiful job they have done. The Queensberry Design team designed this gorgeous 10x10 Flushmount Album. See it in all its glory below... A Translucent title page is the perfect start to any album. With splashes of pastel blue and a seriously gorgeous location, Ashley and Daniel’s California wedding is definitely one to swoon over. Ashley wanted "... the whole day to have a light, carefree atmosphere despite the seriousness of the occasion. Our color schemes, food and drink selections, and seating arrangements around the dance floor all helped achieved this." Their day was captured by Sylvie (from Sylvie Gil Photography) who is based in California, USA. A Futura translucent title page. Ashley is glowing in her  Anna Maier dress! Betsy and Mark wed in the heart of Toronto, Canada at The Drake Hotel. Their photographer Christine (From Christine Lim Photography), said it was "Such a fun + heartfilled event. I couldn’t have asked to be a part of anything more genuine and, well FUN!" Betsy and Mark chose a 14x10H Duo. Christine has kept the design of this album consistent and timeless. (And it is always nice to see full bleed images!) These rooftop photographs are a lovely selection - and what a lovely Mother Daughter moment. All Duo images are printed on photographic paper using To View More >>
