Scott and I got married in February 2007. We were one of the first couples to marry in our group of friends, and needless to say we've been to many weddings since.

I loved how our wedding turned out. We had an amazing day and we enjoyed every minute of it. However I've often joked with Scott that I'd love to get married again - to him of course - and if we did, there are many things I'd change the second time around.

Fashions and trends have changed so much over the last six years. My tastes have changed too. I would wear my hair down to show off my curls, I would have more of a classic style wedding dress, and no doubt I would change many other details along the way.

But there are three things I wouldn't change about our wedding.

The first is our venue. We loved where we got married, in a quaint country lodge, down on a little jetty surrounded by beautiful waterways and gardens. We had our reception there too, and to us the setting was perfect.

The second is our wedding photographer, Bruce Gabites. He was awesome. He made us all feel at ease, as if we'd known him for years. He gained our trust and confidence early on - otherwise he would never have convinced me to climb over a barbed wire fence in my wedding dress to get the perfect photo! We really enjoyed our photo sessions, with many laughs along the way.

Last, but not least, is our beautiful Queensberry album. You may say I'm biassed because I work at Queensberry, but in fact, we had chosen a Queensberry album through Bruce way before I started work here. We have a classic pagemount album in Gunmetal Buckram. It looks as beautiful today as it did when we first opened it over six years ago, and we still get the same enjoyment reminiscing and feeling connected to our day as if it were only yesterday.

Now I just need to convince Scott to do it all over again...

Shannon :)
