“Okay… what should I be offering?” The answer will depend on your clients — and your photographic genre . Each genre requires different presentation. For example, a wedding photographer, with potential sales of hundreds of images, will require completely different products from a landscape specialist offering images intended for wall display. Bear in mind too that the most appropriate printing isn't just a personal preference but will depend on the products you want to offer. For example, we recommend silver halide over inkjet for applications where To View More >>

We’re thrilled to announce updates to our online galleries to suit both school AND wedding/portrait photography. Are you a full-time wedding and portrait photographer who shoots a few school or day care sessions? Or maybe you’re the opposite? You focus on school sessions but shoot weddings on the side? Either way, until now you couldn’t do both in one Workspace account — and that didn’t suit everyone!  Well, that’s changing. If you have a Pro account, just go to your Workspace Image Galleries, click on New Gallery, and you’ll have three choices To View More >>

Hi, it's Stephen here. For a few weeks now we’ve been in deep discussions about how to navigate the current COVID crisis and, more importantly, support the industry we love so much. So it seems a little ironic that, as part of those discussions, today we’re releasing a book called “Love’s Not Enough”. Ironic because we do  love  our industry, we believe love  drives  our industry, and yet … love's not enough. This sample album for Feather & Birch Photography (AUS) features a stunning venue and impressive photography.  Matt from Feather and Birch says, "Mudgee-based, I travel the globe to photograph the world's best weddings. But no matter how far I roam, there’s nowhere like home. This little gem is probably our favourite venue in New South Wales! A big white marquee set amongst the vineyards makes the perfect backdrop for some of Mudgee’s best weddings. "We spend a lot of our weekends out here but this album captures some of our favourites from the 2017 season." The album To View More >>

Tom and Lizzie Redman of Little Blossom Tree Photography love to photograph families, and chose this Q-Book Light as a studio sample. "Up until recently, Tom and I have done a few family shoots on the side of our wedding photography business - Tom and Lizzie Redman Photography. We absolutely love to take photos of family. We believe in family, and we believe it should be cherished, and memories of it held on to, so just recently we launched a family photography business called Little Blossom Tree. "We love natural, candid images, and so we only shoot outside and only use natural To View More >>

We spoke to Dan Morris Photography, based in the UK, about his wedding photography practice, some memorable moments over his career, and why he offers albums to every client. I have been photographing weddings for around six years, though this is my second year full time. I started off as 'Uncle Bob' and took my camera along to a friend's wedding, with no intention of ever becoming a wedding photographer. I posted a few images on Facebook and then two couples asked if I'd be interested in capturing their special day.  How would you describe your style? I would say my style To View More >>

We came across this lovely Portrait Album with Photography by John Shetron (US) as it went through the bindery. It's a 12x8 Panorama Flushmount Portrait Album with offset-printed Tintoretto pages and a Carbon Buckram cover. Portrait Albums are great for family photography and to commemorate special days – especially a 90th birthday! Panorama Flushmount pages, with no split at the spine, invite big, bold imagery. This 12x8 album allows for a 12x16 full bleed image. John also sent through a great portrait, "The 90-year-old birthday "boy" on the day of his celebration. Although To View More >>

This weeks 'Share of the Week' goes to James Kelly Photography, based in the UK, who shared a great Queensberry flushmount album video and words about the importance of printing. Thanks for sharing, James. There’s a wee thank you on its way to you. "Let's talk about the digital files. "The truth is, the high-resolution digital files should not be at the top of your priorities of the final product when deciding on a wedding package/photographer it should be the album. Yes by having those files, you will be able to print them as you please and make a wedding book etc but To View More >>
