This is a long post, so I’m starting with the short story! Some people are upset about the terms of trade for our new web-based lab service, Queensberry Print. We want to clarify that, yes, Queensberry Print products are available to both professional photographers and end-consumers. Certainly, “consumer” means “everyone”, but in reality we believe these products will only be of real interest to professionals, serious amateur photographers, and people who received digital files from a professional and who really care how their photos are printed. For those of you who don't live in Godzone (New Zealand, OK?) Vaughan Smith does the drive time show on New Zealand's top music station, The Edge. He and Fletch have arguably the funniest radio show in the country and I listen to them every day. So when I saw his album working its way through production I thought I'd grab the opportunity to ask him a few girly questions. Read on, ladies, he's not just funny, he's got a soft centre. • Tell us about how it all began - where did you and Sharde meet, and how did you make her fall for you? Like any good modern day romance, it was in the workplace To View More >>

We're constantly reinventing Queensberry to make things better, simpler, faster and more creative. In the mid-1990s we threw away the rule book and started making our albums to order. Computer-driven mat-cutters meant our clients could design books to suit their photography, rather than making their photographs fit the books. It had never been done before. In 2000 we cut out the middle-man and began developing the world’s only worldwide door-to-door service to professional photographers. In 2001 we released Photojunction. In 2003 we were pioneers in the album printing business. (We’re still To View More >>
The purpose of our recent survey was to get a better picture of how you're using the software, and the features most important to you. It turns out you use Photojunction to design albums for almost a hundred album suppliers that we don't even offer resources for - no wonder a third of you "always" use Remix DIY! It's also clear that unless you're one of Queensberry's clients you're most likely using PJ primarily to design and export page layouts. That's not so surprising. Getting past "page design" requires a lot of input from vendors, and unfortunately they're much less engaged with PJ than their To View More >>
We owe a big thank you to all the people who completed our survey recently. We had a great response, and we thought you'd like to know the outcome. There were two major surprises, as you'll see. 1. We listed all the vendors whose resources we distribute, and asked you to tell us which companies you use. People named an average of two companies each, and some people named several. 2. Over a third named Queensberry as one of their suppliers, but the first big surprise was that 40% of respondents wrote in the name of a company whose resources we don't offer. In fact we discovered that PJ is used to To View More >>
Alan (not his real name) and his wife were long-standing clients of one of our competitors. They came to us because they didn't like the way they'd been treated. Unlike Katherine, who likes us (even if she's frustrated), we haven't earned anything from Alan and his wife except a chance to win their business. Alan's customers really like our Duos, which of course they couldn't get before, but he finds designing and ordering them difficult. Alan designs them on paper and his wife recreates them in Remix. Alan's designs are reasonably complex, his wife is a fan of her old software (which can't handle To View More >>

If you've got something to sell, the Photojunction Store has huge potential. The store is an ’ online marketplace’ enabling you to buy and sell templates, actions and e-books - or whatever you think other photographers may be interested in. Partnering with the Photojunction Store offers you a way to reach those masses, sell your products, and boost your income in the process. So here's a quick look at how to start selling: Make sure you have the latest version of Photojunction Remix To View More >>

This is an exciting day. We’ve just released a new final version of Photojunction Remix (1.30) and in it, we introduce the new Photojunction Store. Whether you’re a buyer or a seller, this has huge potential. An ‘online marketplace' may be a better name as the store enables you to buy and sell templates, actions and e-books – or whatever you think other photographers may be interested in. Since we made Photojunction free our active user base, downloads and registrations have all jumped dramatically. The industrious PJ developers have certainly been busy. They've just posted another new beta that builds on the last release, v1.26. Put them together and we have a transformation. Ever since we first released Remix we've been asked to simplify and streamline the workflow, and we believe we've done that here. As you can see from the screen shot, album set-up has been transformed - reduced to a single screen that can gather up all the information an album vendor needs to make your album (click on the images to see them full-size). This particular screen shot is to order a Queensberry, but the options To View More >>
Well, we made Photojunction free ... now what? After yesterday's new final we're finalising the development schedule for the next few months. It's always been our goal to make Photojunction the software of choice for wedding and portrait photographers, and we really appreciate the support we get from the thousands of photographers who use it. But we do also recognise that there are four areas where people struggle, or where we can see strong opportunities for improvement. 1, While most people fly through the set up procedure, some people struggle. Maybe it doesn't work as they expect, and therefore To View More >>
