We love seeing our books and albums used for out-of-the-ordinary projects, so were delighted when Doyle Yachts asked us to create a book to promote their handmade sails. Months later and we get to share it with you. We love how powerful the full bleed pages look, and think this is going to really help set them apart. Doyle chose to order two 12x12 Q Book Lights, and asked us for a complete 80 page design (160 sides). This meant we had enough room for large images, but also space to incorporate text throughout the design to explain different aspects of the sails. Projects To View More >>

If you can’t name five things that differentiate you from your competitors, there’s probably only one – your price. Here's what differentiates Queensberry: 1. We believe the way to succeed is to stand out from the crowd, not to join it. There’s less competition, more satisfaction and more pride at the high end of the market … and it’s our job to help get you there. Think of our albums as profit centres, not costs. 2. We’re design-led. The people in your viewfinder will be looking at your albums for much longer than we will. They must look beautiful To View More >>

Workspace Album Proofing takes the hassle out of communicating with your clients about their album design.  It's a transparent and intuitive way for them to communicate their requests for changes and, when they're ready, to approve the design so you can confirm their album order.  New functionality and a simplified interface make Workspace a great solution for managing your Queensberry album designs. And if you're not using Workspace for image hosting and sales you won't need a paid plan to use it. Updates to Comments: Comments are organised To View More >>

There's a huge amount of power in Workspace. We know, we use it all, and we love it! Queensberry’s website is built on Workspace. We blog in Workspace. We sell in Workspace. And we design albums in Workspace, and Photojunction — half the albums we make, in fact, all part of our free album design service. But not everyone wants to use our software to design Flushmount albums and Q-Books … not when they're already up and running with cool alternatives like Fundy, SmartAlbums, or Adobe's InDesign and Photoshop. A while ago I suggested "keeping it simple" was a great goal ... but not simple to achieve in a complicated job like photography. But I did suggest you could do it with Queensberry. Take our Design Service. There are benefits to doing your own album design, so what I'm about to say isn't going to work for everyone. But if you're snowed under or uncomfortable with album design it's worth serious thought. Say on average you spend 3-4 hours on each album design ... and many people do spend a lot more. Send them to Queensberry and you've just freed up at least a day. You can bet that at this time of To View More >>

If you've been wondering where we've been lately, this is it! We're excited – even proud in an understated Kiwi way ;) to announce Queensberry Press version 3.0. We get to say "yes" to a lot of things you've been asking for, and well ... we think you'll like the prices! So with that little fanfare please welcome Queensberry Press Albums. Press printed, flushmount or matted albums. Simple, affordable and gorgeous. Here are some of the features: Pages are either flushmount - unmatted and similar to our digital albums... ... or matted - overlay style in a clean cut page block reminiscent of Duo. To View More >>

Rugby World Cup fever is gripping New Zealand at the moment, which ties in nicely with my topic (sort of). Twenty teams are here to be beaten by the mighty All Blacks. (Go you good things!) OK, all the teams want to win, but only one can. Whereas our goal is to deliver the best possible books and albums, so everyone wins. How's that for cheesy? But we mean it! We have had an influx of press book orders over the last few months and nearly everybody has been over the moon about them. However not everyone has had the same warm fuzzy feeling. Why? Often it's the nature of the product itself. Press To View More >>

The first in a series about the art of storytelling in album design. Every day at Queensberry we create books and albums about wedding days, birthdays and family celebrations. Years of looking at all those photos have convinced us that storytelling is an important part of the design process. It really will help a book stand head and shoulders above others that simply have a bunch of people looking awkwardly at the camera and smiling - no matter how good the individual photos may be! So what is it about a good story that captivates your attention, takes you on a journey, and gives you a sense of To View More >>

It's been a busy year for Queensberry. We've made some minor changes to our classic albums, but the big news has been the launch of Musée and the Queensberry Press. We're big believers in the principle of "Good Better Best" as a way to tempt your clients' wallets and aspirations, and these new ranges reflect that. Beautiful as they are, we understand that our albums are a luxury for most people. The Queensberry Press isn't about albums, however, but books. Books have their own strengths — they can hold more images, they're as comfortable with text as with pictures — but part of their appeal To View More >>

Thank you to everyone who took part in our Workspace survey and provided insightful comments - some of you went to a lot of trouble over your answers. The development team are only human, so they especially liked your answers to this question: What does Workspace do best? The answer: album proofing, integration with Photojunction, and the sheer number of services it provides in one location. People also liked the "look" of the site and our customer service. It's clear that many people tend to use just one or two of the features (eg album ordering or the shopping cart). If that sounds like you, To View More >>
