Some time ago a client came to us seeking advice on his newly drafted wedding pricing and packages for a brochure. We did a bit of work on it which basically resulted in simplifying. We cut the word count in half, more tightly defined his packages to adhere to the good, better, best principle, helped him decide on the best way to charge for albums, and tightened up the language. I am writing this while wearing my studio owner's hat. We received this email today: Hi, I am looking to buy a queensberry album 15x15, black leather with names embossed on the front. I think you can only buy these albums through photographers and I was wondering if you sell them? I have to say this. That leather is beautiful. Well I certainly think so. It's is part of our new contemporary range, specially made for us. Heather and I were lucky enough to visit the tannery in Europe last month and we were very impressed. So much individual attention to every hide, from the initial inspection and grading (by four very serious men) through to the final finishing processes and packaging. Here’s a wedding from the ends of the earth, where your albums come from. Louise and Tom were married before 250 guests at the First Church, Dunedin New Zealand, on 24th February 2007. Louise's dress was made by Louise Anderson of Christchurch (no relation!) with fabric brought back by the bride from a shopping trip in Italy. Pre-wedding engagement shoots are fairly common these days - but Lauren and Josh asked their wedding photographers Michelle and TJ Getz of Getzcreative to go one step further and take some post-wedding photos too. Lauren and Josh married in October 2008 in South Carolina, and went out a couple of days later with the Getz to do a casual, fun and intimate shoot.
