Simon and Sophie were married in Taormina, Sicily after choosing a destination wedding for them and their friends and family. They were photographed by Phil Drinkwater from Manchester. Their wedding day preparation began in their traditional Sicilian Villa and the ceremony took place at the end of the main street in an old building via an interpreter. A key moment was walking through the street towards the bar for canapés with the Sicilians passing by wishing them congratulations - a truly unique experience. They spent the rest of the day chatting with friends while taking in the stunning views To View More >>

Many photographers are lone wolves. Not in the hunter gatherer kind of way but in the sense that they work alone and contact with the outside "photographic" world can be limited. However we are in a creative industry and so to keep the creative juices flowing you need to go beyond your doorstep to appreciate and develop as an Artist/Photographer. The great thing about the internet is you can share information, ideas and opinions with fellow photographers easily. Joining the DWF gives you a forum where fellow professionals can be open and frank about the issues that they have been having. Sometimes To View More >>

How much is Workspace worth to you? That depends on what you do with it. We've got people clearing really good money from event photography. They upload the images, apply a price list, publish the collection, and we do the rest. We're told the best part is getting the confirmation emails on your phone! We've got people who'd rather self-fulfil (use their own lab). That's cool, we like loyal customers too. It's more work for you, and you need a Pro plan, but we don't charge commission and the money goes straight into your account. We've got people selling to places they never could before. That picture is one of a small handful of photos from my wedding day that I actually like- and sadly it doesn't even feature my husband or me. Planning a wedding can be hard, and sticking to the budget even harder, but one of the most important lessons I learnt was: the cheap option isn't always the best option. My husband and I got married when we were very young and were given a budget from our parents that we had to work within. Sadly we made the decision to let the photography be one of the areas we skimped on and the results were devastating. All in all our photographer was a nice guy and To View More >>

Pride has positive and negative connotations. After all it's one of the deadly sins. However everyone that works for Queensberry is proud of what we do and what we produce. With pride comes humility - the flip side of pride - and by nature most New Zealanders tend not to blow our own trumpets. But in Queensberry's case we've put ourselves on a world stage where we can hold our own. Each of us takes it upon ourselves to instil a sense of pride in what we do. We have a culture of doing the best we can. No one told me to write this post, I just wanted to mention the people I work with. Most of the To View More >>

When next you login to Workspace you'll see we've released an upgrade that makes major changes to the price list and shopping cart features. Largely these come from listening to your feedback as users, but we also need to change the way we handle taxes in Workspace at both the wholesale and retail level. We are sincerely grateful to our “early adopters”, and we’re sure you’ll like the changes - read on! - but if you’re already using these features you may need to edit your price lists, so this is an important heads-up. 1. You can now sell a range of Queensberry books and albums through To View More >>

Hello all, I'm just dropping in to give you a heads up to mark this date down in your diary: Wednesday 15 August. If you're living in Auckland, New Zealand (or can make it to Auckland) you won't want to miss out on our event: a free Workspace seminar and workshop. Workspace is our cloud application which you can use for designing albums, proofing, website building and more. This seminar is your chance to learn the ins and outs of the software, how you can make the most of it and how it can benefit your business. We'll also have plenty of time for questions and if there's anything specific you'd To View More >>

Sorry, false advertising - that's as raunchy as this blog post is going to get. We don't have much in shades of grey, but our albums come in colours and fabrics of all sorts – whites and blacks, reds and golds, blues and greens, and more. But just two shades of grey. Something I love about workspace is that when you're ordering an album, everything is visual. You can see the sizes and shapes, and the images are so clear and accurate you can almost smell and feel the leather (I'm getting carried away again). So, no need for shades of grey. The whole process is black and white. Cheers, Pete A lot To View More >>

Wow, what a busy couple of weeks. The marketing team obviously thought we were getting a bit lethargic under our winter coats, so threw a special in your direction. The result is that Mid-Winter Christmas feeling going on and our departments all humming – the lab, the press people, the design team and the bindery going "gang busters". The tech support team certainly had the cobwebs blown out by all the questions from customers old and new. It's great to see so many people having a go at Workspace. Thanks for your business! I hope you'll be experiencing that Christmas feeling in a few days when To View More >>
