A Day of Bliss Wedding Photography - NYC Wedding Photographer

What can we learn from A Day of Bliss?

Gorgeous brides. Striking grooms. Exquisite venues. Enticing food. Charming families and friends. Alluring music, and dancing.

These phrases describe the events that Wolfgang Freithof and Chiaki Sato photograph. And imagine — A Day of Bliss Photography Studio shoots up to 70 such weddings each year.

They certainly enjoy the high-level of success that most wedding photographers aspire to, so what can we learn from them?

1. Experience Matters

As you might expect, you must first work hard to earn this kind of success. Combined, Wolfgang and Chiaki have 30 years of experience.  Before shooting weddings, they were fashion and beauty photographers. Wolfgang shot for beauty magazines like Vogue and worked with famous designers and models including Claudia Schiffer, Naomi Campbell, Iman, and Veronica Webb.

Chiaki has similar experience in beauty and fashion. She believes, “Every wedding is a unique story of love, friendship, family, and tradition—my greatest pleasure is to capture the beauty, the joy, and all details in an artistic and journalistic fashion.

2. Offer Incomparable Customer Care

Because they're easy to work with and have an honest approach, with a “Yes, we can do” attitude, most brides sign with them when they first meet. Wolfgang notes, “We do not do cookie cutter shoots. We individualize every shoot to the personality of the wedding couple to make sure they get what they want in their wedding album.”

Proof of their care for their customers are the 50 5-star ratings on The Knot

3. Build a Brand with a Beautiful Imagery Style

Wolfgang and Chiaki's photographs are illustrative and conceptual. Both photographers have a keen sense of composition, cropping, motion, lighting, and color. They are skilled at creating unique, contemporary lifestyle images, which are a mix of journalistic, fashion and editorial styles. They want their brides to have imagery that is void of fads, and is classic and timeless.

Each album image has Wolfgang’s extensive and magical retouching. When displayed on social media, magazines often request to use their images, which gives their studio free promotion.

75% of the weddings they do are referrals because of their combination of beautiful albums and incomparable service
