Don’t assume Back in the ’90s Heather and I backpacked around Vietnam. It was a rewarding and emotional experience from end to end, but one of the highlights, after weeks sweating our way around the country, was heading to the Metropole Hotel in Hanoi for a high end lunch. New square frames! After feedback on our Facebook group, Queensberry Insider, we realised we needed more square sizes in our range. They're a great idea for multi-aperture displays, as in the graphic, and also in frame groupings. We've launched three new sizes to fill the gaps: 16x16, 20x20 and 24x24. The new sizes offer all our options — matted, un-matted, floating (torn-edge) and mounted canvas.  You can order frame corners here or order a completed sample frame here. We offer 25% sample discount on frames, and regular customers can earn Tier Discount on their To View More >>

The beautiful imagery in our album of the week caught our attention as it went through the bindery — we love how the natural elements and earthy tones work perfectly with the Tan Faux Leather. Photographer Jon Gazzignato of Tasmania, Australia, shared some of the stand-out moments from the day. "The wedding was held at Riversdale Estate in Tasmania during Summer. The ceremony was supposed to be out on the courtyard overlooking the vineyard and Coal River Valley." "Just as the bride was about to walk out, a storm struck and the 80+ guests had to run for cover. Continuing on from Katherine’s first post, 'Why Albums?', Katherine has a few more tips about how she educates her clients about printing, and some advice for photographers who might just be starting to offer albums in their packages. How do you educate your clients about the importance of printing, rather than leaving photographs on a USB? An album really is a personal preference, so I try not to push them on my clients, but now I have over 50% of my couples order albums, I love to know they will treasure these for 30, 40 maybe even 50 years! I talk about and share my albums as To View More >>

Workspace keeps your images as safe as possible by never displaying the high-res image, and by disabling the browser’s right-click download function. You can also add watermarks to your images. Simply upload your watermark to Workspace, and apply it to a collection of images. Workspace does the work for you, applying the watermark you've selected to each image – so you don't have to do each one by hand! You also have different watermark placement options, from which you can select the most appropriate option for you. Watch our tutorial below on how to use our watermarking feature: To View More >>

Well,  Saturday the 21st June is the shortest day down under … or as we call it, Mid-Winter Christmas. Our friends up north are cranking up for the wedding season (busy busy busy), while in our part of the world people tend to be wrapping up one season, thinking about the next. But I’ve been thinking how we can save you TIME and MONEY :) First... Time! Wedding photographers get so busy with post-production, and yet we can help with that and it won’t cost a penny. I’m talking about our FREE ALBUM DESIGN AND COLOUR CORRECTION service. More than half our customers are To View More >>

Scott and I got married in February 2007. We were one of the first couples to marry in our group of friends, and needless to say we've been to many weddings since. I loved how our wedding turned out. We had an amazing day and we enjoyed every minute of it. However I've often joked with Scott that I'd love to get married again - to him of course - and if we did, there are many things I'd change the second time around. Fashions and trends have changed so much over the last six years. My tastes have changed too. I would wear my hair down to show off my curls, I would have more of a classic style wedding To View More >>

If you specify Full Colour Service printing, we colour correct your images. The old fashioned way, one at a time. We don't run software shortcuts or bulk edit your images. Every single image (or layer) gets personal attention from our specialist colour correctors. It's their job to get your images looking their best and ready for printing and album assembly. Our colour correction policy is to achieve consistency across the images in your album and to optimise natural skin-tones ... and if we spot any problems, to let you know. Once we're done your images go straight to the lab for printing. No To View More >>

For a country with the population of the San Francisco Bay Area, New Zealand has a lot of great photographers, and we're proud that many of them are Queensberry clients. We're delighted to say that one of the best has agreed to write for us. Johannes van Kan of Moda Fotografica has been a friend since 1993, when Heather and I first met him at NZIPP's annual conference and awards judging. Since then Johannes has qualified as a Fellow of the New Zealand Institute of Professional Photographers and was New Zealand Wedding Photographer of the Year in 2004 and 2005, and winner of the New Zealand Wedding To View More >>
