How to Send Your Order PDF Print E-mail

Once you’ve design the album, go to the Send Order screen to complete these final steps before uploading your order or burning it to DVD or CD:

  • Album Supplier Options (listed below: you can't send your order until you’ve answered all these questions)
  • Save Album Order Files to Disk
  • Create the High-res page layouts for printing

Once you’ve completed those steps, you’re ready to upload your order using LabFTP (step 4).

Step 1. Album Supplier Options

Here are the questions you need to answer, with links to detailed information regarding your choices.

Print service options :

  • Full Colour Service
  • Print-Ready
  • Not required

Print album from :

  • Exported layout files supplied
  • Original high-res files supplied
  • I will supply prints
  • Printing not required

Assemble album :

  • Mats and prints mounted on page
  • Mats only mounted on page
  • Supply mats loose

Protective coating on prints required :

  • Yes (free ON QBY printing)
  • No

Digital Copy albums :

  • 5-inch format
  • 7-inch format
  • None required (you will need to enter the quantities you require in the Special Instructions box on the options screen)

Align images (see the Note below) :

  • Yes
  • No

Please supply the album in :

  • Standard card box (no charge)
  • Carry case (extra charge)
  • Display box (extra charge).

Note: The “Align Images” option relates to a no-charge service we offer: to align the images on your page layouts for you. But some cautions apply: If we are printing for you, we will need to create the page layouts AFTER we’ve done the alignment - you will need to send us the original high-res files (we charge for creating the layouts). If someone else is printing for you, the aligned mats will not match the prints.

Step 2. Save Album Order Files to Disk

This option saves the necessary Photojunction files to disk in a folder (called  “album_ref_ORDER”, where “album_ref” is the name of the album) ready to upload via FTP or send to us on DVD or CD. This is an automatic process invoked by clicking the button, which saves new PJF and PJT files to disk together with a sub-folder containing all the low-res images required for the album. You’ll be asked where to save the folder.

Step 3. Create the High-res page layouts for printing

Clicking the High-res Export button on the Send Order screen invokes the Photojunction High-res Export Wizard, which offers you two options:

  • To make copies of the original high-resolution files required for the album.
  • To create the high-res Page Layouts for printing.

The first option implies that Queensberry will create the high-res page layouts for printing (ie the second option) for you. There are a number of reasons why you might choose this. For example, you might not have Photoshop, or you might want us to design the album.

Make sure when you use the wizard that you select the Queensberry Lab Settings file. This will ensure that the files comply with our requirements. You’ll be prompted to save the files as 250 dpi double layouts, which is what our lab requires to do your work.

In both cases the files will be saved in a folder called “album_ref_EXPORTS”, where “album_ref” is the name of the album.

If you have selected a Cover Motif that requires an image, there will a second high-res export button, which you will need to click to create the cover image and save it into the folder with the page layouts.

Step 4: Upload using LabFTP, or burn to DVD/CD

You now have two folders, one containing the order files, created in Step 2, and a second, created in Step 3, containing the high-res files required for this album. All you need to do now is burn these to DVD or CD or (recommended) upload them to our server using LabFTP.
