Send us a clear, unambiguous, complete order – and get your album faster

You’d be surprised how often we can’t understand the orders we receive, which is why our first suggestion for getting your album faster is simply this: please send us a clear, unambiguous, complete order!

It sounds simple, but we know it’s not that easy, so here are some suggestions, including some fine points you might not have considered:

1. Use our Order Forms or Photojunction. The order forms act as CHECKLISTS. If you fill them in completely, almost certainly we’ll know everything we need. If you don’t, chances are you’ll forget something, and we’ll have to ask, and your order will take longer.


2. Photojunction is even better, but once you’ve made a selection on each screen we know all we need to know. But whereas you can fax an incomplete order form, you can’t send a Photojunction order until it’s finished. The latest version of Photojunction is much better in terms of guaranteeing we get ALL the information we need, and we recommend it.


3. If we’re printing for you, “lost files” can be a real problem. Your order doesn’t go into production until we have the images, so we recommend sending the images WITH the order. By the way, don’t forget to include the cover image – the latest Photojunction version handles that for you, too!


4. Make sure the image files are clearly cross-referenced to the order, and vice versa. If you email cover images, or FTP your orders, send each order separately. If you’re sending CDs or DVDs with more than one order on them, keep the orders in separate folders, clearly labelled with your reference.


5. If you’re sending an order with printing, we won’t know whether you want Full Colour service or Print-Ready unless you tell us. With older versions of Photojunction, put this in the Comments; the latest version asks for this information. Otherwise please use our Printing Order Form and make your requirements clear.


6. When you order a title page, don’t assume we’ll know you want the same text on the cover. Please be explicit.


7. If your order is a sample album and you’re asking for discount, please make a note under Comments (if a Photojunction order) or mark it clearly on the order form.


8. If you’re resending an amended album plan, let us know. Otherwise we’ll think it’s a new order!


9. Please, always allow a realistic amount of time to get your order, but if you have a specific deadline, like a show or competition, do tell us. Oh, and answer our queries, confirm the order promptly or it may not happen!
