Duo albums enable you to combine Matted and Digital pages in the same album, and to bleed images out to the edge of Matted pages on one or more sides. These simple features open the door to design ideas that will once again differentiate your presentation from your competitors. You’ll find a Duo page in our 8x8 Page Sampler, which illustrates all our page options. To design Duo albums you need to use the latest version of Photojunction Remix.

Duo albums are a refinement of our standard Matted product, without corners or edging. You can display your prints either Pagemount or Overlay style, bled out to the page edge if you wish, or as an un-matted composite image covering the entire page surface.

Because we trim the page block after assembly to maintain the smooth-edge look of a Digital album, Duos must be ordered fully assembled (mats plus prints). You cannot mix Overlay and Pagemount apertures in the same album. Pages and mats are available in Black or Ivory. You can choose only one page colour and one mat colour per album. We don’t recommend Black mats with Ivory pages (or vice versa) because it creates a striped effect on the edge of the book block. Design notesPhotojunction has a completely different set of resources for Duo formats, which allow the software to manage page dimensions and other design criteria correctly. Technically, Photojunction treats Duo albums like any other matted product, except that we’ve set the minimum “legal” distance between apertures and the edge of the page to zero, rather than the normal 10mm. Respect the photo safe guides on the Photojunction page layouts to avoid losing critical data from the edge of the page when we trim, especially if you want us to make Digital Copies. |
