So I jumped into this wedding business about 2 years ago. Okay, so maybe I have trudged a little, but it has been with great intentions. It was with the constant nudging (while I was trudging) of my husband, to finally do what I love. No, this is not an American Idol moment where I tell you how good my mom and cat think I am at photography (although they DO both concurr on this point)....It's always been a gift of mine, but I never gave myself the chance to develop it. So I took that bold step when I moved back to the beautiful city of Lexington, Kentucky. Ah, the land of rolling hills and the Kentucky Wildcats! Okay, back on track. My business, is a no money borrowing, complete sweat equity kind of deal. It's a beautiful thing. Sweat, blood, and tears go into each beautiful purchase of equipment(actually there are no tears, because I love it, but there is sweat and sometimes there is blood...I cut my toe while I was climbing on a bridge over a lake to get some pictures of a bride this past weekend...I kept having to assure her that I would not get blood on her dress). So all that to say, I am proud to do what I do, and it is a blast. Albeit, I AM still in the beginning stages, so I am no 6-figure-making Leibovitz, and every nudge helps. There are all kinds of nudges, but one of them would be getting a subscription to the wonderful photojunction. Ah yes, this is the shameless plea for the free year of PJ. But, well...you guys asked for it. And God knows (He really does) that I could really use the freebie. I tried the 30 day trial, and it rocks! So hopefully I can get into the running with Danny's Aunt Dorothy, and win this bad boy. Have a good one guys!
