Queensberry Connects

Good vibes

Queensberry Connects is about the photography, technology, business and relationship skills you need to run a successful wedding and portrait studio. Album marketing and album design are our primary focus but we'll cover anything it takes to succeed in this business. We hope our posts will sometimes amuse you, sometimes inspire you, but always offer something to think about. And we're all busy, so we try to keep it brief. Johannes is half way through his MPA-sponsored tour of the UK. Coventry and Croydon are behind us and we’re sitting in the BA lounge on the way to Falkirk with Staveley (sponsored by CPT) to come next week.

He’s had some very generous feedback, and well deserved I reckon. The estimable Simon Whitten called it “genuine, exceptional and inspiring” on DWF and a number of people have emailed Johannes directly. Quite apart from his photographic and design skills what always strikes me with Johannes is how genuine he is in getting to know his clients, so that he can apply his talents to their specific needs.

At least half the attendees are QBY clients, so it’s great catching up with so many friends. Speaking of generous, Colin and Chris Buck of MPA have been exceptionally good to us and we’re very grateful.

We’ve recorded interviews with Simon Whitten and Brett Prestridge along the way. Interesting stuff and we’ll publish them here as soon as we can get them edited.

Cheers
Ian

PS Brett took Johannes along as second shooter on a wedding last weekend. An interesting way to compare styles. It’s a small world – the bride came from Johannes’ home town! Oh, and “Uncle Ken” took some pictures too … but I won’t spoil that story.
