Simon’s background is in press photography. Having qualified with a diploma in photojournalism from NCTJ, Simon worked for newspapers and magazines for twelve years, during which time he photographed a number of high profile stories both in the UK and abroad. He has photographed royalty, politicians, celebrities, sport and news events. His press work twice won him UK publisher EMAP’s Photographer Of The Year.

In 2000 Simon was invited to take part in a Millennium project that involved photographers all around the world. The task was to take a single photograph at midnight on the 31st December 1999.

In 2000 he also started photographing a few weddings in a photojournalistic style and soon realised there was a huge demand for this type of wedding photography. Simon now photographs around 45 weddings a year all over the UK and concentrates purely on wedding photography.

No stranger to having his work published, Simon’s weddings have appeared in Cosmopolitan Bride and You and Your Wedding. Simon’s wedding photojournalism was the subject of a double page feature in the Independent on Sunday newspaper. He has also recently been featured in Photography Monthly magazine.

Simon is 34 and lives in Northamptonshire. Simon looks for photographs with emotional impact at weddings, preferring to stay in the background as an observer quietly recording the events with his camera. He uses Queensberry albums for all his album packages and strongly believes they are the best albums available anywhere in the world.
