For more than 20 years, Northern Ireland photographer Michael McKay has continuously created award winning images from thousands of weddings, portraits and industrial subjects both nationally and internationally, including twice winning the overall title of UK Wedding Photographer of the Year
He has a strong sense of the historic importance of his work and never loses sight of the fact that he is constantly documenting the most important stages during the lives of his subjects, from maternity to first baby portraits, through family portraits, engagements and marriages to the many anniversaries and other unique events in family life. These are treasured photographic memories that will be passed down through countless generations as an historic record of these families, their lifestyles and most importantly their relationships to one and other. 
Michael’s highest priority has always been consistently high quality in all stages of his work, beginning with a Hasselblad medium format digital camera system right through to exclusively choosing Queensberry albums for all his work. He says, “From the first moment I saw a guy at the Focus exhibition in Birmingham carrying a 15”x15” corrugated aluminium album around under his arm 8 years ago, I knew there was nothing to touch them. ”Since we started using Photojunction our studio lives have been so much more productive and easier.
