In 1977, in the small industrial town of Jamshedpur India, Manpreet discovered an old twin lens Rollei camera in the family closet. It was the start of a journey of discovery and fascination. The first time he saw an image emerging on photographic paper in the darkroom was magic – he knew this was what he wanted to do for the rest of his life.

It started the quest, which continues today, to learn from the best, and perfect his art. Starting at a local camera club he worked his way to Bombay to train under a legend of the photography world, the late Wilas Bhende, before going on to study at Art Center College of Design, Pasadena, CA.

Returning to New Delhi, Manpreet made his mark in the advertising industry and was sought after for his skills in lighting and technical knowledge in photography. After working for ten years with some of the best advertising agencies and corporate clients in India and UAE, he moved to Canada to make Toronto his home.

Toronto introduced him to the world of wedding and dance photography, and he discovered a new passion. The years he had spent understanding and perfecting lighting helped him create exceptional images even under extreme light conditions.

Manpreet says that when a client wants nothing but the best, only one album comes to mind – Queensberry.

“What a Rolls Royce is to cars and a Rolex is to watches, Queensberry is to albums. You have to flip through one to realise the workmanship, the quality and the finish is unsurpassed... Your album in the hands of my clients generates many more jobs for me.”
